About Me
Michael DeLorenzo
Founder of Care ❤️ Fitness
I wasn’t always the strong, confident man I am today. Growing up, I was small, timid, and lacked confidence. That feeling stayed with me into my teens, and at 16, I decided to make a change—I picked up a set of weights. What started as a simple attempt to feel better became a lifestyle I couldn’t live without.
Over the years, I immersed myself in the world of fitness, learning countless techniques, routines, and lessons along the way. At 28, just when I felt like I was hitting my stride, I suffered a bilateral inguinal hernia that put everything on hold. After two years of recovery, I returned to fitness with a new mindset—not to chase perfection, but simply to feel good again.
To my surprise, things started taking off. Through social media, I gained some recognition. I landed fitness modeling gigs, secured sponsorships, and even took first place in my division for bench press at a powerlifting syndicate. It was a surreal experience—one that made me realize maybe I had something more to offer. That was the first time I considered becoming a certified professional trainer.
But life had other plans. In 2022, I faced the biggest battle of my life. I suffered a crushed disc between my C6 and C7, herniated two more discs (C5–C6 and L4–L5), and tore my left labrum. Doctors told me I’d never train again—or return to my professional work. To make matters worse, I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease.
During that time, everything fell apart. I lost my home, my business, my family, and many of my friends. I spent 13 months completely out of work—no support system, no income, and no clear path forward. I hit rock bottom. I felt isolated, broken, and defeated.
But then came the choice: stay down, or fight like hell to rise again.
I chose to fight.
And that fight gave birth to Care ❤️ Fitness—a movement built from pain, perseverance, and purpose. My mission now is to pay it forward. I’ve walked through darkness, and I want to be the spark, the accountability partner, the motivation someone else needs to take that first step.
No one should have to suffer alone.
Trauma—both physical and emotional—is real.
But so is hope.
So is healing.
So is transformation.
If you’re going through it right now, please know this: you are not alone. Don’t give up. Your story isn’t over unless you decide it is. One step at a time. One day at a time. You are worth it—trust me.
The backbone of success starts with YOU.
Let’s walk this journey together.
